Puente OS vs Vambe: From the Conversation to the Complete Sale

Vambe and Puente OS work on the same sale with different scopes. Vambe is an AI agent platform for conversations with your customers: it sells, books, serves and re-engages over WhatsApp, Instagram, TikTok, webchat, email and voice, and adds campaigns on Meta, Google and TikTok. Puente OS builds that conversation as one more piece, with an agent that serves your customers, along with the complete system behind it: the stock the agent checks, the order that enters your ERP or your store, the shipment, the receipt, the payment, reconciliation, returns and reporting, in a single system that Puente's Growth Ops team builds with you and maintains. If Vambe already serves your customers, Puente connects to it through its API and runs what the conversation sets in motion. The conversation is where the sale begins; Puente runs the complete sale.

Puente OS vs Vambe: From the Conversation to the Complete Sale

A conversational AI agent, what many call a WhatsApp sales chatbot, is a system that talks with your customers in natural language over channels like WhatsApp, Instagram or your website chat, understands what they ask for and executes actions: answering a question, booking an appointment or sending a payment link. Puente OS is the platform that builds the systems that run your business: apps, workflows, databases and agents that read from your systems, cross-reference the information none of them holds in full, decide on your rules and execute the action inside them. The conversational agent is one of those four pieces, and the other three do the work the conversation sets in motion.

I'm Cris Ugarte, CEO and co-founder of Puente OS. We work with retail, eCommerce and logistics companies in Chile, Peru and Mexico. Vambe is an AI agent platform that over 2,500 companies use to talk with their customers, according to its website, and in this post I explain how it differs from Puente and how the two complement each other.

My short answer is that Vambe moves every conversation forward, and Puente moves forward everything that conversation sets in motion: the order, the stock, the shipment, the receipt and the payment. Puente also builds the agent that talks, and when the agent and the operation are built on the same platform, what the agent promises is what the operation delivers. Here I go through what each one does, with public sources for everything I say about Vambe, and when each one makes sense.

What is Vambe and what does it solve?

Vambe is a Latin American artificial intelligence platform that automates the commercial conversation with your customers, from marketing through sales and after-sales. Its llms.txt describes it as specialized in "automating sales conversations, optimizing advertising campaigns and connecting business systems" with omnichannel AI agents, its home page presents it as a "proactive, omnichannel AI system," and its About us page sums it up in one sentence: "We believe in the power of conversation."

Its products, according to its website:

  • Vambe. The core product orchestrates AI agents that talk with your customers, manages conversations and connects your tools. Its product page states 99.95% uptime, over 7 channels, over 50 integrations and agents that "update your CRM, book meetings or process payments." Conversations are organized in Mercur pipelines that combine AI assistants and human agents, and Connect adds no-code integrations.
  • Vambe Ads. Campaigns on Meta, Google and TikTok created from Vambe, with AI-made creatives and attribution of every sale to its pipeline stage.
  • Vambe Service. After-sales with the SLA visible in the pipeline, automatic ticket assignment, CSAT and NPS surveys at close and repurchase playbooks.
  • Add-ons. Its add-on catalog includes AI calls, telephony with Vambe Phone, PDF quotes and contracts, abandoned cart, cross-selling, restock alerts, Mercado Libre, email marketing and syncing Vambe with your data warehouse and your BI.
  • PandAI. An assistant that, according to its home page, edits flows and assistants in real time and "creates new assistants, designs pipeline stages and generates complex workflows with simple natural-language instructions." Since September 8, 2026 it also creates "Apps," views that connect business information, and "jobs," repetitive tasks it runs for you, according to its product updates.

The product moves fast. In September 2026 alone, its product updates added the Mercado Pago payment link inside the conversation, for now for Chilean accounts, Vambe Phone with number porting, sequences in workflows and a voice assistant that sends the payment link over WhatsApp or email without ending the call.

Its coverage:

  • Channels. WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and webchat as its main channels, according to the FAQ on its website, plus voice and email. Its Terms add Telegram and SMS.
  • Named integrations. Its industry landing pages list them: on the eCommerce page, CRMs like HubSpot, Salesforce and Zoho, stores like Shopify, WooCommerce, Tiendanube and Jumpseller, Enviame for shipping and Reversso for returns; on the healthcare page, Google Calendar, Agenda Pro and medical scheduling systems like Reservo, Dentalink and Medilink; and on the automotive page, Pipedrive, Outlook Calendar and Quiter.
  • Countries. Offices in Santiago, Mexico City and São Paulo, according to its About us page. Forbes reported in June 2026 that Mexico accounts for 30% of its operation and that its launch in Brazil was planned for the fourth quarter.
  • Implementation. According to the FAQ on its website, it takes one month: two weeks in which its team builds flows and agents, and two weeks of soft launch. Its services page offers custom engineering with tailored integrations, change management with training, strategic advisory and continuous monitoring, and companies that prefer to set it up themselves have PandAI, Vambe Academy and a directory of agencies that know Vambe.

It's a company with scale: its home page states over 2,500 companies, Forbes reported over 2,000 customers and 180 people in June 2026, and it closed a Series A in December 2025, led by Monashees, according to Bloomberg Línea. Among the case studies it publishes are Americar, with pipelines integrated with its CRM; Clínica Ramis, connected to Medilink and Dentalink; and Reuse, with a full Shopify integration. Its eCommerce landing page adds Kitchen Center, which integrated Vambe's AI with Shopify across five pipelines: sales, returns, technical support, documentation and shipping.

Moving every conversation with your customer toward the sale, on any channel and at any hour: that is Vambe's job.

What is Puente OS and what does it solve?

Puente OS is the platform that builds the systems that run your business. In your stack it is the system of action: it reads from your systems, cross-references the information none of them holds in full, decides on your rules and executes the action inside them.

What it builds comes from four pieces:

  • Agents for the steps that take judgment, like a conversation with a customer, an ambiguous complaint or a failed delivery.
  • Workflows with explicit, auditable rules that start on their own when data changes or at a set time.
  • Databases that bring together context from several systems: the customer, their conversation, their order, their receipt and their shipment in a single record.
  • Apps where your team reviews, decides on and approves the exceptions.

With Puente OS you describe in natural language what your operation needs and get software running: apps, workflows, databases and agents. Puente's Growth Ops team builds each process with you and maintains it, and each one reaches production in 2 to 4 weeks. Puente runs six areas of a commercial operation (catalog, pricing, orders, logistics, customer service and data), and serving your customers, on WhatsApp or any other channel, is one of them.

The discipline behind it is autonomous operations design: designing your operation so the repeatable work runs on its own, on your rules, and your team decides what takes judgment. For a closer look at the layer, see what a system of action is.

What happens behind a sales conversation?

The sale itself: confirming stock, creating the order, collecting payment, issuing the receipt, shipping it and handling after-sales. The conversation opens the sale, and in Latin America many sales open that way: it's known as conversational commerce. WhatsApp is the most used social network in Chile, reaching 89.7% of the online audience, according to DataReportal via Statista; in Mexico, seven in ten consumers see messaging as a faster, simpler way to communicate with businesses, according to a BCG and Meta study; and Meta counts over a billion active conversations every day between people and business accounts across its messaging apps. Each of those conversations, when it ends in a sale, sets an operation in motion.

Take any conversation. On a Tuesday night, a customer writes on WhatsApp: "Do you have the blue parka in size M? I need it by Thursday in Viña del Mar." The agent replies in seconds and sends the payment link. From there the work begins:

  • The stock. The "yes, we have it" rests on the stock in the warehouse, the store or the ERP, deducted on every channel as soon as it sells. With that data up to date, the parka the agent offers is the one the warehouse has on the shelf.
  • The order. The payment becomes an order in your store or your ERP, with the right product, price, customer and address, so the warehouse can prepare it.
  • The payment. The payment link closes the conversation and opens reconciliation: the payment is matched with its order and with the deposit that reaches your bank.
  • The receipt. Every sale carries its tax document. In Chile, the electronic receipt (boleta electrónica, the document businesses issue for each consumer sale) has been mandatory since 2021, and the issuer sends the SII, Chile's tax authority, every receipt it issues.
  • The shipment. "By Thursday in Viña del Mar" becomes a shipping label, a courier chosen by zone and cost, and a deadline someone has to measure.
  • After-sales. The "where is my order?", the size exchange and the return, with its credit note.

Each step lives in a different system and, at many companies, in a spreadsheet in between, with a person copying data from one to the next. That cost has a name: the coordination tax. When the agent promises a delivery, someone has to deliver on it. That work is what Puente OS builds and runs.

How do Puente OS and Vambe compare, feature by feature?

Vambe covers the commercial conversation across all its channels, and Puente OS covers the conversation as one piece of the system that runs the complete sale. Dimension by dimension:

  • Conversation and channels. Vambe: AI agents on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, webchat and email, plus voice with AI calls and Vambe Phone, and pipelines that combine AI agents and people. Puente OS: agents on WhatsApp, Instagram, email and a web portal chat, working with text, images, files and voice, with Meta-approved templates and handoff to a person on your team when the conversation calls for it.
  • Data the agent uses. Vambe: connects to your CRM, your store, your calendar or your medical scheduling system, with integrations like HubSpot, Shopify, Google Calendar or Reservo, and its AI answers "questions about products, stock, shipping," according to its eCommerce landing page. Puente OS: the agent checks the order status in your OMS and its shipment through an integration, and the conversation, the case and the notes are stored in a Puente database, alongside the rest of the operation Puente builds and runs.
  • CRM and customers. Vambe: sales pipelines inside its platform, where its agents update your CRM, and Segments to re-engage customers, plus integrations with HubSpot, Salesforce and Pipedrive. Puente OS: builds the CRM on real sales from all your channels. At a Chilean retailer with a physical store and an online store, Puente consolidated 27,656 orders from both channels into a single CRM, with 9,686 identified customers, and measured its repeat purchase rate for the first time: 17.6% have two or more purchases.
  • Payments. Vambe: the Mercado Pago payment link inside the conversation, according to its September 1, 2026 product updates, for Chilean accounts, also from a voice call; when the customer pays, the conversation moves to the next pipeline stage on its own. Puente OS: matches each payment with its order, its document and your bank, and flags every discrepancy.
  • Orders and stock. Vambe: integrations with Shopify, WooCommerce, Tiendanube and Jumpseller, abandoned cart, cross-selling and restock alerts, and since August 2026 the assistant changes an order's shipping address in Shopify. Puente OS: takes each order through its full cycle (stock, sale, receipt, shipping, payment and return), writes to your ERP or your store and flags the order that drifts at any step.
  • Shipping. Vambe: integration with Enviame and shipping address changes in Shopify from the chat. Puente OS: assigns the courier on your rules, generates the label, writes the tracking to the order and measures every delivery against the promise made to the customer.
  • Documents. Vambe: PDF quotes, proposals and contracts with Vambe PDF. Puente OS: issues the document in your invoicing system when the process calls for it and calculates the margin of every sales line with the cost it brings in from your ERP.
  • After-sales. Vambe: Vambe Service, with SLA, ticket assignment, CSAT, NPS and repurchase playbooks, and in its published case studies it automates returns and shipping pipelines on Shopify, as with Kitchen Center. Puente OS: the agent resolves exchanges and returns inside the chat, checks the order in your OMS and logs every conversation, with the person who resolves it in view.
  • Campaigns. Vambe: Vambe Ads on Meta, Google and TikTok with attribution to sales stages, email marketing among its add-ons, and conversations on WhatsApp, chat, social media, calls and email, according to its llms.txt. Puente OS: WhatsApp campaigns to segments of your customer base, with Meta-approved templates, built on the data your operation already records, such as the points of sale that stopped showing activity.
  • ERP. Vambe: includes ERPs among the systems it connects, according to its platform page ("CRMs, ERPs, calendars, payments and more"); its Terms include connection through APIs, webhooks and connectors, and it offers Connect and custom engineering for tailored integrations. Puente OS: connects to your ERP through its API or by reading its database, brings in the cost, stock and documents each process needs, and writes back.
  • Reporting. Vambe: Insights Pro and syncing Vambe with your data warehouse and your BI. Puente OS: margin by channel, delivery-promise compliance and the metrics of each process, calculated on your operational data.
  • Artificial intelligence. Vambe: works with AI model providers like Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini and Meta AI, according to its Terms, and PandAI creates assistants, pipeline stages and workflows from natural-language instructions. Puente OS: the AI is in how it gets built: you describe in natural language what your operation needs and get software running, connected to your ERP, your store and your courier. At a multichannel electronics seller in Mexico, one person built 20 apps and 75 automated processes this way in ten months. In the operation, a model reads what arrives messy and an agent takes the steps that need judgment.
  • Who implements it. Vambe: a one-month implementation in which its team builds flows and agents, custom engineering services, change management and continuous monitoring, self-setup with PandAI and Vambe Academy, and partner agencies. Puente OS: the Growth Ops team maps your processes, builds each one with you, puts it live in production and maintains it as your operation changes.

What does it look like in a real operation?

It looks like an agent that talks, running on a system that does the work. The first two examples are Puente OS customers, going from the conversation into the operation; the third is a reference design for a brand that already talks with its customers on Vambe.

Example 1: the WhatsApp agent at a shipping company in Chile

A shipping company in Chile manages its agency network over WhatsApp. Puente built the complete system: the network's CRM, automatic loading of each point's activity, detection of inactive points, campaigns with Meta-approved templates and the agent that replies according to the reason each agency gives. If the problem is technical, the agent asks for a photo and opens a ticket.

Between May and August 2026, the system sent 3,797 campaign messages and 63.7% of the agencies contacted replied. Of the 7,553 messages exchanged with the network, 1,973 are agent replies that never went through a person, and of the 316 management notes logged by agency, 230 (72.8%) were written by the agent. The conversation is the visible part: behind it runs the system that decides whom to write to, what to reply and which ticket to open.

Example 2: a multibrand fashion retailer in Chile, with the agent on top of its OMS

A Chilean multibrand fashion retailer handles the first line of customer service with an AI agent on WhatsApp, on Instagram for each brand and on email, all in a unified inbox. The agent checks the tracking of each order in the OMS, resolves exchanges and returns inside the chat and hands the conversation to a service rep when needed.

The account started with customer service and continued with store operations. In alterations, fixing a garment always follows the same path (a ticket in the store, routing to the area's workshop, six statuses and an email to the customer at every change), and that process runs on rules on the same platform.

Example 3: designing shipping alerts on top of Vambe

Take an online store that talks with its customers on Vambe and runs its orders with Puente OS. When an order is running late, the alert works best on the channel where that customer already talks with the brand. This is how you design it with Puente OS:

  1. A database links each order with its shipment, its courier and the delivery date promised to the customer.
  2. A workflow pulls the status of each shipment from the courier's API every day.
  3. The rules flag the orders still uncollected or undelivered within the promised window.
  4. For each undelivered order, Puente sends the alert over WhatsApp from the brand's Vambe account, with a Meta-approved template, through the Vambe API.
  5. Whatever takes judgment, like an order the courier marks as delivered and the customer disputes, reaches the right person in an App, with the order and its shipment in view.

Vambe talks to the customer, and Puente knows which order to flag and why.

Why choose Puente OS?

Because Puente OS builds and runs the complete sale: the agent that talks with your customer and the system that delivers what that conversation promises, on a single platform, with a Growth Ops team that maintains it and adds one process after another. Six concrete reasons:

  • It covers six areas of your commercial operation, and customer service is one of them. Catalog, pricing, orders, logistics, customer service and data run on the same platform, with the same connections and the same data, and every conversation sits next to the data that feeds your campaigns and your reporting. At a pet retailer in Chile, Puente already runs processes for six departments.
  • The agent that promises and the operation that delivers are built on the same platform. Puente takes the order through its cycle, chooses the courier on your rules, generates the label, writes the tracking to the order and measures delivery against the promise, logging every action, and on that same foundation it builds the agent that talks with your customer. Both halves already run in production: at the fashion retailer from Example 2, the agent checks each order's tracking in the OMS, and at a multichannel electronics seller in Mexico, 97.9% of orders get their shipping label with no human intervention.
  • Each step runs on the piece that fits it. Workflows for rules, models for reading, agents for judgment and people for exceptions, as I explain in how to implement AI in your business. The courier, the receipt and reconciliation run on your rules, the same every time and auditable, and the agent takes the conversation, where judgment leads.
  • A team builds it with you and maintains it. Puente's Growth Ops team maps your processes, builds the connections to your ERP, your store, your courier and your invoicing system, decides with you what happens to each exception and keeps everything running when a rule, a channel or a format changes. At a Chilean retailer with a physical store and an online store, one person on the team built and maintains its 13 apps in production, with 108 versions deployed.
  • You add one process after another on what's already built. Each process reaches production in 2 to 4 weeks, and the next one uses the same connections and the same data. At the pet retailer, the time between requesting a new process and having it in production dropped from 105 days to 7.
  • Results are measured in production. At the electronics seller in Mexico, monthly order volume grew 40% with the same operations team. At the pet retailer, Puente measured 33,192 shipments against the delivery promise, using the courier's API. At the shipping company from Example 1, the agent wrote 230 of the 316 management notes for its agency network, in the same system that decides whom to write to and which ticket to open.

The conversation is where the sale begins; Puente runs the complete sale, from the agent that talks to the payment that closes it.

When does each one make sense?

Vambe fits when your challenge is the conversation itself and you want a platform your team configures on its own: serving and selling across many channels, at high volume, with campaigns on Meta, Google and TikTok in the same place. Puente OS fits when what eats up your team's hours is the work the conversation sets in motion. And you can use the two together.

  • Vambe, if you want to sell on WhatsApp with AI and serve customers on Instagram, TikTok and webchat at high volume, with campaigns on Meta, Google and TikTok attributed to each sales stage, AI calls and telephony, the Mercado Pago payment link in the chat or ready-made integrations with your CRM, your Shopify store or your medical scheduling system. Also if you want a one-month implementation in which its team builds flows and agents, with the option to keep adjusting them yourself with PandAI. Its scale, its focus on WhatsApp and its presence in Chile, Mexico and Brazil are real strengths.
  • Puente OS, if every conversation triggers manual work for your team: creating the order in the ERP, checking stock, coordinating the shipment, matching the receipt, reconciling the payment or tracking a return. Also if you want the agent to answer with your operation's data, and you want Puente's Growth Ops team to build and maintain both the conversation and the operation behind it, with the connections to your ERP, your courier and your invoicing system.
  • Both, when Vambe already talks with your customers and your operation's next leap is in what happens afterward. Puente connects to Vambe through its API, which lets another system send WhatsApp templates (Vambe documentation), runs the order, the shipment and the payment, and uses the same channel to notify the customer.

How do you start?

With the conversation that creates the most work afterward: orders that arrive over WhatsApp, "where is my order?" or exchanges and returns. With Puente OS, each process reaches production in 2 to 4 weeks.

  1. Pick the process. With volume, manual handoffs and a visible cost when it fails: an order that arrives over WhatsApp and someone keys into the ERP is usually a good place to start.
  2. Take the baseline. Conversations per month that end in an order, minutes between the message and the order in your system, and the share of shipments that arrive within the promised window.
  3. Decide where the conversation lives. If you already use Vambe, Puente connects to it through its API. If you're starting from scratch or want the agent inside the same system, Puente builds it on the official WhatsApp Business API.
  4. Connect the sources. Your ERP, your store, your OMS, your courier, your invoicing system and your bank.
  5. Write down the rules your team applies from memory. For example: "if the customer asks for delivery tomorrow and their district is outside same-day coverage, the agent offers next-day shipping."
  6. Decide where each exception goes. The system resolves it, or it reaches a named person with the conversation and the order in view. WhatsApp requires a clear path to a person whenever customer service is automated.
  7. Measure from the first week and add the next process: payment reconciliation, shipment tracking or returns.

That is autonomous operations design applied to conversational selling: the repeatable work runs on its own, on your rules, and your team decides what takes judgment. If you also sell on marketplaces, the same approach is in Puente OS vs Multivende.

Your ERP records what happened. Your BI shows you what happened. Puente makes it happen. We believe every company in Latin America can be operationally autonomous, and in a sale that starts on WhatsApp, that means what the agent promises gets delivered on its own, on your rules.

Frequently asked questions

Does Puente OS replace Vambe?

It can go either way: Puente can build the agent that talks with your customers, or work alongside Vambe if you already use it. When Puente builds the agent, it builds it on the same platform as the operation behind it: the agent serves customers over WhatsApp, Instagram or email, with text, images, files and voice, and answers with the order status it checks in your OMS, and behind it run the stock, the order, the shipment, the receipt and the payment. When you already use Vambe, Puente connects to it through its API and runs what the conversation sets in motion. If you're evaluating Vambe alternatives, the useful question is where your bottleneck is: if it's in ads or in having your team configure, on its own, high-volume conversations across many channels, Vambe has a deep product for that; if it's in delivering what the conversation sells, Puente OS builds the complete system.

Does Puente OS have AI agents for WhatsApp?

Yes. Puente OS builds agents on the official WhatsApp Business API, with Meta-approved templates, and also on Instagram, email and a web portal chat. They work with text, images, files and voice, with handoff to a person on your team when needed. At a shipping company in Chile, the agent that manages the agency network gave 1,973 replies with no person involved between May and August 2026 and wrote 72.8% of the management notes. What Puente adds is that the agent and the operation behind it are built on the same platform, by the same team.

What is Vambe and what does it do?

Vambe is a Latin American artificial intelligence platform, with offices in Santiago, Mexico City and São Paulo, that automates sales, customer service and after-sales conversations with AI agents on WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, webchat, email and voice. It adds Vambe Ads for campaigns on Meta, Google and TikTok, Vambe Service for after-sales, a catalog of add-ons such as AI calls, Vambe Phone and abandoned cart, and the Mercado Pago integration to send the payment link in the conversation. Its website states over 2,500 companies as customers.

Does Vambe connect to ERPs?

Yes. Vambe includes ERPs among the systems it connects: its platform page names "CRMs, ERPs, calendars, payments and more," its Terms include connection through APIs, webhooks and connectors, and its custom engineering service offers tailored integrations. Puente OS connects to your ERP through its API or by reading its database and uses it as part of each process: it brings in the stock, cost and documents the process needs, and writes back where it belongs.

How do you automate orders that arrive over WhatsApp?

Integrating WhatsApp with your ERP starts by separating reading from rules. An AI model reads the customer's message and turns it into fields: customer, product, quantity and address. From there a workflow takes over with your rules: it validates stock and coverage, creates the order in your ERP or your store and sets in motion the receipt, the shipping label and the notification to the customer on the same channel. Exceptions, like an out-of-stock product or an address outside coverage, reach a person on your team with the conversation in view. How each step is split between workflows and agents is covered in how to implement AI in your business.

What does WhatsApp require of an AI agent that serves customers?

Two main things, according to its Business Messaging Policy: offering prompt, clear and direct escalation paths to a person, in the same chat or by phone, email, web or in store, and contacting only people who have given their consent. Since January 15, 2026, the WhatsApp Business terms prohibit offering general-purpose AI assistants as the primary functionality, and Meta clarified that the change leaves businesses that use AI to serve their customers unaffected. The same terms allow a business to hire an AI provider as its solution provider.
